I'm trying to download the source code (www.isocra.com/JavaADSL.zip) and I get and "Article Not Found Error"?
There is an alternative URL to download it.
Best Regards.

Hi, no you don't need to use Visual C++. In fact the article assumed that you use the Borland C++ compiler (and can write the source in any text editor). Unfortunately Borland don't seem to provide this any more. In theory you can use any compiler but the header files for ADSI should come with the compiler and you might need to adjust the code accordingly.

Alternatively, <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/express/vc/" rel="nofollow">Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition</a> is available as a free download and they will certainly provide the header files that you need (though they might be called something different).

If you get this working with Visual C++ Express or another compiler, please post back here to tell everyone how you did it.

Hi ,

Is it necessary to write the C++ code for ADSI using Visual C++ ? Can i not use it in any C++ editor?

Also , i do not get any activeds.h file , on my computer , all i have is an activeds.tlb and activeds.dll. I need to call the ADSI set of functions through Java code, to add a user, in Win XP.

When i copy-pasted the ADSI C++ code, into the C++ editor , i get a 'Cannot find the include file ' error. Please help!
